Chris Rabanera, Behavioral Health Specialist and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist at Scheurer Health, talks with us about how to manage the new "normal" with COVID-19 spanning the entire globe.

As the nation continues to prepare for the spread of COVID-19, Scheurer Health has taken numerous proactive measures to help “flatten the curve” locally. At each of our medical locations, we are conducting health screenings to limit exposure to our patients and team.

A serious childhood injury sparked Dr. Reiter's interest in medicine from an early age. Through a family connection that strung from rural Pennsylvania, all the way back to Michigan's Thumb, Scott Reiter, DO made his way to Pigeon, MI to begin a career at Scheurer Health and has never left.

Born and raised in Michigan, Amanda McSweeney, MD has finally made it back home to the Great Lakes state. Dr. McSweeney is well versed and an expert in her field of General Surgery, even working in a U.S. Army burn unit for a decade. She couldn't be more excited to come to work each day, citing the team and culture of Scheurer as the main reason.

With a mild fall season, progress continues to surge forward at our Bad Axe Facility -- shifting from the steel structure to concrete floors, walls and roofing. Come along for the ride!

Progress continues with our Bad Axe facility! Now that the basement walls and foundation are complete, we now proceed to the steel structure, underground utilities and concrete floors. Thumb Cooling & Heating, Maurer Electric, Rooney Contracting, Fessler & Bowman, Howard Steel and of course, Collins Associated Builders, our general contractor, have been working at a fever pitch, all with the end goal in mind: quality primary care in the heart of Huron County. Take a look as the building starts to now come out of the ground and start to take shape right in front of our very own eyes. Up next: a concrete floor for the main floor, walls and much more!

What a week it was in Caseville! We had the pleasure of being a part in a number events including:
Saturday // 5k Fun Run.
Tuesday // Health Expo.
Tuesday // Flashbacks concert co-sponsor.
Wednesday // Parade of Tropical Fools.
Thursday // Kids Safety Day.

We had a blast during the Cheeseburger in Caseville Parade of Tropical Fools. Altogether, we handed out nearly 5,000 beach balls! Check out the video to see how it all went down in America's greatest Wednesday Night Parade.

We continue to make progress at Bad Axe location! For the past few weeks, crews have been busy pouring concrete for the basement, excavating drainage ways and prepping the site for curb installation. For more, go to scheurer.org/BadAxe
