When you visit the hospital for services, the lobby reception staff will welcome you to the Scheurer Hospital family. The lobby reception, including our volunteers, can assist you with directions throughout our facility and answer general questions. If you misplace an item while visiting the hospital, you can go to the lobby reception desk staff to inquire about the lost item or call us at 989.453.3223.
When you arrive
Registration and admissions staff members are ready to assist you by efficiently and accurately registering you for hospital services. When you arrive for a service, please be sure to have your practitioner's order, photo ID (driver's license, military ID, state-issued ID, passport, etc.) and your insurance card(s) ready. The registration and admissions staff will obtain demographic and insurance information from you. We also ask patients to sign our general consent form, and we offer information regarding HIPAA at this time. When you are admitted to the hospital, the registration and admissions staff members will also present you with information regarding advance directives.
Another branch of Patient Access Services is central scheduling. This department schedules diagnostic imaging, respiratory and diabetes education services. Your physician will direct you to contact this office when you need to schedule your appointment. Central scheduling is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at 989.453.5250. Please call to register for your service to ensure accuracy of your registration, to verify authorization requirements are met for your insurance company and receive an explanation of how to prepare for your scheduled exam.
