Country Gardens is a state-licensed Assisted Senior Living Community conveniently located across from Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon, MI. With the changing needs of the senior community, Country Gardens is dedicated to delivering quality services, offering apartment-style living for seniors requiring assistance.

Residents may choose from a small studio, large studio, one or two-bedroom apartment. Each offers a spacious bathroom, walk-in closet, kitchenette, individually controlled heating and air conditioning and common areas for all residents to enjoy.

Country Gardens offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of the residents. Services include:

Staff receives annual training on various subject matters and we offer in-services on additional topics such as diabetes education, Alzheimer's and more.

What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Country Gardens during daytime and nighttime hours?

Staff to resident ratio is never more than 1:15 on midnight shift and on days we have at least 7 employees in the facility.

We provide a monthly newsletter of the fun happenings at Country Gardens, but are always available to take a phone call for any questions.

Country Gardens has alarmed doors throughout the facility and entrance doors are locked when staff are not in the vicinity.

Country Gardens provides transportation within Pigeon, Michigan at no cost. We will also provide scheduled transportation to appointments outside of town for a minimal rate.

Country Gardens focuses on what we call "Resident-Life Optimization," ensuring that we are offering a variety of activities that reach all of our residents interest including Euchre, outings to the local Band Shell concerts, BINGO for all, creative activities and different ways to exercise, from floor bowling to balloon toss.

Country Gardens is a part of the Scheurer Healthcare Network with a variety of outpatient services located across the street including pharmacy, rehab, diagnostics, lab and more. Behind the hospital, we have a community walking trail and just down the road are a couple of restaurants and a Dollar General.

What makes the chef or dining program at Country Gardens exceptional? What kind of menu can residents expect?

Country Gardens has a fabulous menu. You are Scheurer to gain 10 pounds! We provide three meals daily. We are known for our quality of food and appealing plating.

What safety features or security measures does Country Gardens offer to assisted living residents?

Country Gardens is a state-licensed Assisted Senior Living Community with staff on 24/7. Additionally, we conduct periodic safety checks. We have a facility wide alarm system with call buttons in the bathroom, shower, near the bed and pendants that ring to staff. We also have the building doors alarmed.

Does Country Gardens accepts dogs or cats? If so, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?

We do accept small dogs and cats. Cats are limited to the apartment due to potential allergy issues and the ability to escape. Country Gardens is beautifully landscaped on a large several acre parcel where dogs would have room to run and enjoy lifting a leg to the many bushes!
