Introducing Ross Ramsey, MD as President & CEO
Since Dr. Clare A. Scheurer first opened the doors to Scheurer Hospital in 1945, we have had the pleasure of some outstanding leadership within our organization. From Art Woelke to Dwight Gascho and Terry Lerash, we now introduce our next President & CEO of Scheurer Health, Dr. Ross Ramsey.
Our Scheurer Auxiliary Superheroes
When you think of some of the best and most successful ambassadors in the world, the ranks of the Scheurer Auxiliary are certainly at the top of the list. Scheurer Hospital was founded in 1945, yet that was not the only pillar of the community created that year. The Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary also got its start in 1945 and they have not looked back ever since.
Running for a Greater Cause // Elkton Autumnfest 5k
On Thursday, September 1, Scheurer Health partnered with the Huron County Suicide Prevention Coalition for the first annual Elkton Autumnfest Kiddie Cruise and 5k Run where all the proceeds benefit the Huron County Suicide Prevention Coalition.

Thank you to all who came out to our 31st Annual Scheurer Auxiliary Golf Outing this past Friday! The sunny weather made for a beau-tee-ful day of golf.

The Scheurer Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the return of Terry Lerash as Interim President & CEO, following the resignation of Mike Nanzer on Wednesday, July 06, 2022. We wish Mike the best as he pursues opportunities with other organizations. While this is not the outcome that we had hoped for, we remain committed to our culture’s guiding values and strive to find the next leader that matches those beliefs.
