In today's world, few people hold a job for more than 10 years anymore, let alone for 20 or even 30. Then there is Dwight Gascho, who recently finished his tenure on the Scheurer Health Board of Trustees after a short 36 years.

Where do you learn to make banana splits? Sundae school! Or if you're a resident of Country Bay Village, you were able to make them for National Banana Split Day. National Banana Split Day commemorates the delightful frozen dessert featuring ice cream, a banana, whipped cream, and an array of toppings. This delectable treat is celebrated annually on August 25.

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who came out and supported our events during Cheeseburger week including the Cheeseburger Fun Run 5k, Health Expo and Kids Safety Day. Your attendance, smiles and all-around good vibes made this week extraordinary and we can't wait to do it all again next year!

Like those attending the infamous Cheeseburger in Caseville festivities, the bridge on N. Caseville Rd also has gone on island time. Although the bridge is taking a siesta, the Huron County Road Commission has an official detour that will get you to your destination headache-free. If you've stepped on a pop-top or eaten so many cheeseburgers that you need medical attention (highly not recommended), the detour route will have you turn left on Filion Rd, followed by a right onto Gagetown Rd, another right on Berne Rd and then you will arrive back on N. Caseville Rd en route to Scheurer Health.

With an updated race course and time/date, we took your requests and made them a reality!

In recognition and appreciation for Dr. Scaddan's time and expertise in the Department of Family Medicine, Paul Scaddan, MD was presented with the "2022 Community Faculty of the Year Award." This honor was given by Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine (CHM).

Join us for Scheurer Auxiliary's 32nd Annual Golf Fundraiser on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Scenic Golf & Country Club! Registration begins at 8:00 am followed by Tee-Off at 9 am.

Get ready to get your racing shoes on this summer with the 2023 Scheurer 5k race season. New this year, we have a special bundle promotion where if you sign up for all four races, you only have to pay for the cost of three! Don't delay too long to sign up because this promotion will end on Saturday, July 14, when our first 5k of the summer begins. The first 500 registrants are guaranteed a race shirt in festival fashion.

We all know how hard it can be to stick to workout regimen, but with our new Spring Fitness Classes Schedule, our team is ready to help you spring back into working out. With summer quickly approaching, they have a multitude of classes to help you get your summer bod just how you'd like it to be! 💪
