National Banana Split Day at Country Bay Village
Where do you learn to make banana splits? Sundae school! Or if you're a resident of Country Bay Village, you were able to make them for National Banana Split Day. National Banana Split Day commemorates the delightful frozen dessert featuring ice cream, a banana, whipped cream, and an array of toppings. This delectable treat is celebrated annually on August 25.
Our Activity Coordinator, Christie Karl, came up with this delectable idea to allow residents to embrace the fun and nostalgia by delving into a banana split along with posing behind a fun, 50s-themed backdrop.
Matt Roemer, Country Bay Village Manager, expressed, "Our residents had a ton of fun celebrating National Banana Split Day. Not only did they get delicious banana splits but we also participated in fun "banana split" themed games. To see the residents smile and have a good time enjoying this event was absolutely fantastic."
