10) Pies In The Face!
Back in April, our Relay for Life Team (now the Employee Relief Fund) raised an impressive $546.15 to donate to the American Cancer Society by having a friendly "Penny Wars" competition. Every department and location would be raising money with the opportunity to "pie their leader" if they raised over $50. Three department leaders, Dr. Ross Ramsey, Lori Swartzendruber and Beth Gainforth were all victims of getting pied and you can watch all of this unfold in 8x slow motion in the video below.

9) All Of Our 5k's
We had our most successful 5k season yet with three reoccurring 5k's and adding a new 5k to our roster: The Bad Axe Fall Frenzy 5k. Read about each 5k and look through pictures by clicking the links below.

8) Scheurer Fit Challenge
At the beginning of every year, we host our "Scheurer Fit Challenge" where participants join an 8-week fitness challenge to work toward meeting their personal fitness goals. More information on when the 2024 Scheurer Fit Challenge will be announced in the next coming weeks but watch below for a peek into what the challenge offers!
7) Scheurer Auxiliary Golf Outing
Despite the rainy and gloomy skies trying to dampen spirits, the 32nd Annual Scheurer Auxiliary Golf outing at the Scenic Golf and Country Club was a hole-in-one event. Watch below for some amazing (and not-so-amazing) golf swings as a recap of the golf outing.

6) BREAKING: EASTER BUNNY VISITS COUNTRY BAY
Read as the Easter Bunny was spotted at Country Bay Village a few days ahead of schedule for the international holiday. Who *was* the Easter Bunny? What was it *here*? What was *in* the basket?

5) Senior Living Visits Grindstone
Is there anything better than ice cream on a hot summer day? On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, our Senior Living communities loaded up the buses and enjoyed a quick trip over to Grindstone for the world's largest ice cream cones.

4) Paul Scaddan, MD Presented Community Faculty of the Year Award
In recognition and appreciation for Dr. Scaddan's time and expertise in the Department of Family Medicine, he was presented with the "2022 Community Faculty of the Year Award." This honor was given by Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine (CHM).
3) 12 Days of Christmas (Scheurer's Version)
An extra amount of holiday cheer swept through our hallways at Scheurer this past holiday season. Watch as our team shared our version of the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' as we celebrated the 2023 Christmas season.

2) Jimmy Buffett & Cheeseburger Trivia
Watch as Clark Ramsey scourers the streets of Caseville and asks Parrotheads trivia questions like, "What does Jimmy Buffett like on his cheeseburger?" and "What is the actual population of Caseville, Michigan?"
1) The Masks Are Off!
It's hard to believe that at the beginning of this year we were still wearing masks, but on April 17, 2023, the day finally came for the masks to come off. It was the first time in over 1,100 days that we were able to see everyone's smiling faces again.
