The roots grow strong for anyone from the Thumb of Michigan. None might be stronger, though, than for Elisabeth Milligan, MD. A native of Cass City, Michigan and even the former Michigan Bean Queen, Dr. Milligan brings a wealth of local knowledge to complement her extensive medical training.
Dr. Milligan attended Michigan State University for both undergraduate and medical school, before completing her residency at MyMichigan Medicine in Midland, MI. She chose Midland for its opportunity to learn rural medicine -- something far more complex than providing care to those in metropolitan areas. For that reason, Dr. Milligan is beyond excited to return home to the Thumb to serve the community that helped raise her.
As part of our Bad Axe location of Scheurer Primary Care, Dr. Milligan credits the building's layout and patient experience as top-notch, allowing patients to complete not only their family medicine or primary care appointment, but also check off their needed lab draws, X-ray, mammogram, ultrasound and anything in between -- without even leaving the building.
