MERRY & BRIGHT ALL DECEMBER LONG
We've had a jam-packed, exciting schedule of events here at Scheurer all holiday season long. To kick off the season, our President and CEO, Dr. Ross Ramsey went around to each department and location and delivered Christmas bonuses to our employees. It is important for us at Scheurer to recognize how hard our team has worked this past year and we are thankful for everyone making this year a success.
Our annual "Lights of Love" ceremony took place on Friday, December 01 as members of the community and employees donated to the Scheurer Auxiliary by purchasing a snowflake, tree, light or ornament and illuminated Scheurer's campus. All proceeds from this initiative go towards supporting the Scheurer Health Auxiliary. The Auxiliary donates each year a substantial monetary amount to Scheurer for system, technology and overall improvements to further advance local healthcare. Thank you once again for supporting your community through lights and your generosity.
Once a year, our Scheurer Auxiliary members come together to celebrate all of the hard work they have put in in the past year. At this ceremony, a check was presented to our VP of Quality and Experience, Danielle Penfold, in the whopping amount of $36,409. Thank you to our amazing Auxilian team for continuing to support the hospital along with giving back to the community.
To bring a little Christmas joy to our Senior Living residents and employees through Scheurer, we had the pleasure of having Judge Gerald Prill and his father, Benny Prill, play accordions whilst employees joined in with Christmas caroling. A gallery below showcases the employees singing along with the accordions as they gave quite the show to the residents and departments at Scheurer.
Topping off the holiday festivities, our President & CEO, Dr. Ross Ramsey, along with the help of our Nutritional Services staff, had the pleasure of cutting up and serving a Prime Rib lunch and dinner to our employees and volunteers. This tradition has dated back more than 30 years and we were excited to bring it back post-Covid. "Slicing so much Prime Rib can be a bit of a daunting task but it is so worth it for a small token of our appreciation to our Scheurer team," stated our President & CEO Dr. Ross Ramsey.
