Scheurer Wears Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀💗

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and here at Scheurer, we wear pink to remember, support and celebrate the survivors and fighters.

Our Diagnostic Imaging department celebrates by wearing pink every Wednesday along with having a prize wheel for our patients to spin and have a chance to win various prizes including candy bars and keychains. A Pink Ribbon is donned on the bulletin board with various statistics and figures on Breast Cancer:

Breast Cancer accounts for about 30% of cancers in women.
About 85% of diagnoses of occur in women with no family history of breast cancer.
1 in 8 women who live to be age 70 will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.

But there is good news... More than 2.8 million people living in the U.S. are breast cancer survivors. Act now!
