PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

The PALS Training and Retraining Courses provide information neede to identify, prevent, intervene, and treat cardiac arrest in pediatric patients. This course teaches standards, guidelines, and skills developed by the American Heart Association. The information is presented through lecture, demonstration and small group discussion. Participants will be required to demonstrate knowledge and skill mastery through written and performance examinations. Completion of Course materials and proficiency in BLS (basic life support) prior to day of course highly recommended. CEUs attached.

ACLS Course Description

The American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital.  Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies.  ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. 
The ACLS Training and Retraining Courses provide information, standards, guidelines, and skills. The information is presented through lecture, demonstration, and small group discussion. Skill stations reinforce key concepts Participants will be required to demonstrate knowledge and skill mastery through written and performance tests.

ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) Description
The ENPC Course was designed to provide nurses with the core knowledge and skills needed to care for the pediatric patient. This course presents and discusses core level knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of care to a pediatric patient. Information is presented through a series of lectures and psychomotor skills stations. Course participants are required to pass both written and skills testing. CEUs attached.
